our mission
automotive preservation
and education
Welcome to the Automobile Driving Museum, one of Southern California’s premier destinations for car enthusiasts where museum visitors experience a wide range of vehicles from years gone by. The Museum is committed to the preservation and maintenance of these cherished age-old automobiles for generations to come.
The Automobile Driving Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit and ride in historic vehicles.
We use our collection to present educational opportunities and displays that illustrate the aesthetic, engineering and cultural evolution of the automobile.
special projects
Rides for warriors
The Automobile Driving Museum has partnered with Operation Mend and The Veteran Administration to offer special experiences to our veterans.
Operation Mend, through UCLA, transports vets around the nation to their hospital throughout the year for medical and psychological assistance.
The Veteran Administration works with local vets living in the area.
The Museum offers two events per month—one for UCLA and one for the Vets Administration. We offer the veterans rides in our classic and collector cars, lunch at a local restaurant or catered to the museum, and ice cream in our 1950’s themed parlor. The Pin-Ups for Vets may come for photo opportunities with the guests.
High-School Restoration Program
Your support helps the Da Vinci High School students in this amazing hands-on GMC project! Students receive hands-on experience and are tasked with the the rebuild project. With the help of volunteer docents to oversee the project, the students are working to build the automobile back to standards, making it run efficiently and effectively.
The students, who are also a part of the Science school at Da Vinci, were handpicked for this program by their principal, Steve Wallace. The museum is committed to hosting two classes per week, and during this time our docents educate students in basic auto care and maintenance. The class was designed to focus on auto repair and restoration and the importance of auto shop classes… which have been written out of the common curriculum in recent years.
