[column grid=”2″ span=”1″] The 1955 series was a major redesign on the 1951 dies by stylist Richard Teague. Some of the changes included tail lights, wrap around front windshield, grille, interior and dash, torsion level suspension for the Senior models and optional for the Clippers, and a new V-8 engine. With its new president James Nance, this was Packard’s attempt to regain its share of the luxury market now held by Cadillac. Packard had a very competitive product for 1955 in all areas. It was however too little too late to turn the company around.
