[column grid=”2″ span=”1″]A 1952 facelift missed its deadline so leftover 1951s, the Virginian with a continental kit, were sold in the interim. The “real” 1952s had bulbous taillights and a heavier grille. Specials became the new Deluxes and the previous Deluxes were renamed Manhattan, Manhattan being a prior Frazer name. The “second-series” 1952s are fairly rare with 7,500 Deluxes and 19,000 Manhattans being manufactured.
Kaiser pitched the “fashion market” with its “Dragon” trim options in four different color editions for its limited four door sedans. All sported alligator-look “Dragon” vinyl inside and color-keyed exteriors with padded vinyl tops.
