[column grid=”2″ span=”1″]Ford made only minor styling changes in the 1936 models from the “new modern” changes offered in 1935.

The most obvious styling changes were a longer more pointed hood and shapely vee’d grille. To match industry design trends dictated hiding previously exposed components, e.g. horns were now behind covered holes adjacent grille.

Ford V-8 virtually ruled stock car racing for several years and Ford racing specials were a mainstay of the Automobile Racing Club of America in the mid to late thirties. Clyde Barrow (of Bonnie and Clyde fame) wrote Ford a testimonial letter as to the quickness and dependability of the car he stole and used in bank robberies.
